Cassowarys live in the tropical forests in the North part of Australia and south part of New Guinea. Their diet depends on costalands. So while they will be in swampy areas or woodlands, they do not go too far inland.
Despite the Cassowary extremely protective nature, it is not a carnivore. They eat seeds, fruits and vegetables. Anything that can be eaten in one bite. And because their diet consists of lots of seeds and fruits, their waste is a central part of the fertilzation where they live. The circle of life is beautiful.
Females will start breeding at around 3.5 years and will sometimes stay with the same mate for a few years at a time. Other than that adult Cassowaries and very territorial and will not interact. Following with that, females will last 3-5 eggs and leave. Interestingly enough it is the male Cassowaries who raise the babies. The compassion does not last
